When I tell people that I have ten bridesmaids (two of them not pictured in group photo..sad), most people think I am crazy. I don’t think I’m insane…just blessed 🙂 I’m lucky to have ten girls stand by my side as I make the biggest decision of my life, and I am lucky to have even more girls to celebrate with on that day, and at all the pre-festivities.
When I was brainstorming ways to ask my girls, I sat on pinterest and google for days and days trying to think of something special and fun. Plus, three of my bridesmaids (my maids of honor to be exact), live out of state and one is across the globe…so I thought it would be special to get everyone together since we won’t have many times as a whole group until the big day! Since I searching my little heart out, I thought I would share my bridesmaid proposal incase you are ever looking for ideas, or for most of you just a little something to read 😉
My mother and I ordered these adorable little bow necklaces online, since I had seen other ideas that incorporated the “tie the knot” phrase and I just loved it! Then we went to our local Hobby Lobby store…they have EVERYTHING…to find a container and way to decorate the boxes a little. I actually got everything from there! On the side, I also had mini champagne bottles with their initial and a little straw tied to it which you will see pictured below as well! I asked each of them to come over and do some fun wedding planning with my mom and I, but actually planned them a little mimosa party where I gave them their little gifts and we got to spend time together as an official bridal party, which was SO nice. I loved giving them a little pre-thank you gift since they are gonna have to deal with my bride-self the next five months…good luck ladies. (kidding..kinda)
In other news, I get a lot of questions on how my wedding planning is going and so I wanted to give the world an update and tell you all it is going GREAT. Being engaged is the best thing ever, next to being married I’m sure 🙂 But planning your wedding is a once in a lifetime experience, and I keep trying to remind myself to truly soak in every moment of it, and every moment that Alec and I will be fiances. Up to this point it has already gone by so fast, I can only imagine how fast the next 144 days will fly by!! But we have accomplished a lot on our wedding checklist, things are going amazing.
I hope your weeks are going great, and that you enjoyed my bridesmaid proposal story! xo
