My Look: I’m actually wearing this jumper with an old Old Navy sweater over
I have been telling Al for probably the past 3 years that San Francisco was at the top of my ‘weekend getaway’ list. When my parents got married, they moved to San Francisco to start their lives together and lived their for 7 years, having me 5 years in. So I was born in SF but my father’s job relocated him back to Seattle when I was 2; and I have never gotten the chance to go back. Now 20 years later, for our one year wedding anniversary, Al surprised me and took me! I was so excited and this city holds such a special place in my heart. For those who don’t know my life story or know me personally, my parents ended up getting a divorce shortly after moving back to Seattle. So San Francisco really was the city of their marriage and that time together, although I was too young to remember. Now everything happens for a reason, and their separation has actually brought abundant blessings into my life. I have a HUGE amazing family because of it; 5 siblings, 4 parents. There are so many people in this world who don’t get that kind of family love and support, people that don’t have their parents anymore or have lost their siblings. So for me to having this huge, close family brings me so much joy and I am thankful. But at the end of the day, my parents are my parents, so of course it was meaningful for me to go back to that place.
When Al was choosing a hotel for us to stay at, he ended up choosing the Four Seasons because that is the line of resorts we stayed at for our honeymoon in Bora Bora – so he thought it would be special and it was! There is something magical about staying at any Four Seasons resort, they really know how to treat you. Because of our anniversary, they gave us a room upgrade into this beautiful room up on the 14th floor with an amazing view of the city, and sent us a bottle of wine with a cheese board our first night. Room service with them is always incredible – they take the time to tidy up your room every day no matter how crazy you leave it. The rooms themselves are nice and roomy, you don’t feel crowded. The staff is OVERLY helpful, I kept thinking “how are these people so nice and always in such a good mood??” There was a nice restaurant and bar right on the main floor by the lobby. Everything was wonderful! When you are staying at any Four Seasons, you have high expectations – and they always meet them for us. This specific hotel in SF was located right in the shopping district; you could see Chanel, Tiffany & Co, and Ted Baker from our window. Whenever Al and I travel, we like to be within walking distance to lots of stuff because we never really have an itinerary when we travel, we kinda just roll with it and do whatever we feel like at that moment. From our hotel we walked to go shopping, to get coffee and to several different breakfast & lunch spots, and even walked down to the Ferry Building which is a San Francisco MUST, and we could just walk there! Location, location, location!! No matter where you are traveling to, Four Seasons is always a good choice! We will definitely continue to stay at their beautiful hotels.
If you are planning a trip to SF, don’t ever hesitate to message me and ask for recommendations! We had SUCH a fun weekend and a perfect anniversary! I’m more than happy to help you plan your trip!
