How I convinced my husband to drive me to the mall so I can shop on the first day of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale‘s Early Access is still mind boggling to me. My car broke down the day before and we had to take it in (AGAIN) so I am car-less and was maybe throwing a teeny tiny fit that I was gonna miss day one of the sale.Ā So he is a GEM and took me there, let me take my million mirror selfies, then took me to my fave place, Din Tai Fung for din din. Side note, we did meet our friends there so he did have his bff to hang out in the candy store with while us wifeys shopped! So I guess there were three people waiting on me… #truelove.
ANYWAYS, this was my first time ever shopping early access! I am the biggest procrastinator I know so I am usually the person that waits until the last day of the sale to hurry and get my shopping in online. After this experience, I am doing this every year!! I couldn’t believe how many things I tried on were sold out online by the time I got home! I’m low key bitter about a couple items that I thought ‘I’ll just order this online later’ and they are now sold out so I’m calling the store tomorrow to see if they are still there and might have to have Al drive me back hahahah.
Below are all my favorite pieces that I tried on at the sale yesterday!! I will also include all my sizing info and the fit as well š
So many things about this top were darling to me. Of course I love the off shoulder, but I also love the sleeve detailing and that it is a fun flare to your average button up! (Same as above, denim and shoes not part of the sale but I did include them for you!)
Okay here I am highlighting both this darling tank that is only $22 and also this denim!! I kept this same pair of jeans on for over half of the tops because I loved them so much. I of course had to take them home with me. I am wearing a small in the tank, it runs true to size! And my denim is a size 26! I am usually a 25 or a 26 so I would say they run true to size or a tiny bit small.
Zero exaggeration – I think this cardigan might be the most popular thing from the sale. I have seen it everywhere and styled SO many cute ways! It would be adorable with denim, over a skirt or dress, or paired with over-the-knee boots. The ways to style it are endless! I think it would definitely be your new go-to. I am wearing a size 2 so I would definitely say to size down.
I have an almost IDENTICAL jacket to this from last year and I still wear it all the time. It’s a gray color but this one comes in multiple colors too! I just liked this one because I already own lots of black and gray jackets. I think the color could go good in any season and paired with any outfit. It would definitely be a piece that stays in your wardrobe for years! Great investment and just what the NSALE is about. I am wearing a size small and would say it runs true to size.
Okay, I LOVED this jacket too. This one is definitely more of a splurge purchase but it is heavily discounted from it’s normal price so this is the time to buy!! The color photographed a little green in this dressing room but it’s a stunning charcoal color. I loved everything about it. I am wearing a size 2 so I would also say depending on your preference you could either get your true size or size down. I sized down.
All I can say about this jacket is I am a BIG FAN!! I saw it online before going into the store and seriously hunted for it because I knew I had to have it. I have it photographed with two different looks and that’s because I tried it on in two different sizes. I am usually a 4 in Topshop since that brand typically runs kind of small so naturally I grabbed a 4 but after wearing it for a little it felt a little too oversized for me so I had them grab me a 2. The 4 is pictured above and the 2 is pictured below! Based on your personal style I think either would be SO DANG CUTE. I am beyond excited to wear and style this.

Buying cozy cardis is always a good idea. Especially when they are Madewell and on sale!! Like I said before, I like things oversized so I actually grabbed a medium in this! I would probably be fine with a small too because they run true to size so that is just personal preference :)
Okay I adore this top. It's a darling subtle plaid print and has little ties on the sleeves! The fabric is amazing and you can just tell it's good quality. This is also one of those pieces you could wear in any season and it's only $44 during the sale! I am wearing a small and it runs true to size.
I didn't end up buying these jeans and I'm already regretting it. Definitely going to add it to my cart for my online splurge next. They are Rag & Bones and on sale for $149! This is one of my favorite brands of denim and I love the thick cuff detail at the bottom! (They are made like that I didn't cuff them myself!) They are comfy, a really cute wash, and will last you YEARS. I am wearing a size 26 but would order a 25!
This was the first time I have ever tried Good American jeans and I LOVE THEM! They are probably some of the most comfortable jeans I have tried on. I sadly couldn't find my size in store but am definitely going to look for them online! I think I will order a size 25 as I now have heard they run big! (These were a 27, I was hoping they would run small! Haha)
Knot detailing is my FAVORITE. Therefore so is this top!! It also comes in gray and I think it is such a darling piece! The brand is high quality so it is incredibly comfy and could definitely be dressed up or dressed down! You all also know how much I love blush :) I am wearing an extra small here. I would say it runs a little big.
This sweater is perfection. Literally the minute I put it on I knew I was purchasing. The fit is so cute, the stitching is so cute, the sweater itself is so cute! It lays on your body so well and is very flattering for a more oversized sweater! I think I will definitely wear this the most out of everything. I would say it runs true to size, I am wearing a small.
