2 Outfits Full Of Spring Basics You Need

Happy Saturday babes! A lot of times on here I am talking current trends, or more bold looks that I’ve tried out. But today is a little different and I am so excited to be sharing outfits for any day, any way, any where in partnership with Express! Their One Eleven line is full of your daily wear pieces and this is the perfect time of the year to stock up on pieces that you’ll be able to style a million times over.

When choosing these types of pieces, there are two things I always consider. First is comfort. Odds are if I’m going to be pulling out some basics to wear from my wardrobe, it’s on a day I want to look cute and put together, yet be comfortable all day long. (The One Eleven line has the comfort part nailed!) And second is my current wardrobe color palettes. I’m mostly talking your go-to neutrals. For me it’s black, white, and tan. I always try to choose my basics by what’s going to match what I already own for easy pairing. I’ll also consider ‘what statement colors do I commonly buy and are these going to match?’ My spring statement colors have been blush and anything yellow or orange.

When I went in store to pick these items out, I had in mind that I wanted to choose pieces that I could style countless outfits with and wear to any occasion whether it’s a baseball game, a bbq, or a date night with our friends. The tube top in the second look is such a versatile piece because not only can I wear it alone tucked into a skirt or some jeans, but I also can layer jackets or dusters over the top! It will be an adorable piece to layer. These are the 3rd and 4th outfits that I’ve styled with a denim skirt in the past two weeks…I think I’ll be wearing them A LOT this year haha. This however is my first distressed denim skirt and I’m sold. I know come cooler evenings I’ll be tucking a light colored sweater into it – the styling is endless.
