I am so excited to start this new series, “Thumbs Up Thursdays”!! What you can expect from these posts is a highlighted product/tool – whatever it may be, that I’ve been LOVING and am rating it a thumbs up – must have. I’ve wanted to do this type of series on my blog for SO long, I just wasn’t sure exactly how I would do it or if I would do a bunch of things at once or one item at a time. I did decide on one thing at a time because it gives me more time to really dive into that ONE thing and touch on it without losing you guys in a long post reviewing 10 products. These are not sponsored! Just something I thought would be SO fun to bring to my blog!!
I already have a couple things on my list that I have bought and tried out or purchased and am still waiting to try out, so I’m hoping I’ll be able to keep this momentum going! My hopes for this is that you guys participate with me and that this is a series that you are checking back to my blog weekly to go catch up on!
Now onto today’s ๐๐ผ…the Tata Harper Clarifying Mask.
I have heard absolutely amazing things about this mask from one of my favorite bloggers, Lauren, and also my sister in law swears by it too! I know some of you are newer here so here’s a little background on my skin. I have oily and acne prone skin, so battling breakouts and preventing new ones is a constant struggle of mine. I have tried product after product, mask after mask. Doing masks is honestly my favorite part of a skincare routine. There is something about putting it on and letting it sit for 20 minutes that makes you feel like you are truly pampering yourself. For this reason alone, I always have some sort of mask in my routine. Some masks that I’ve tried in the past are the GlamGlow clearing mask and the Mario Baduscu drying mask. Both are for acne prone skin or treating breakouts. Now, not that these masks aren’t good…they are. I actually adore both of these lines and use a bunch of their products! I just felt the need for to try something else. And I am so happy I did because this one has quickly become my favorite!!
This mask is perfect for you if you have blemish prone skin, dull skin, an uneven texture, or redness and blotchiness. I would say my favorite part of this mask is that it remains wet on your face through out the entire time you leave it on! It doesn’t dry out like most masks – especially acne masks do! I’ve read before that once a mask goes hard, it loses it’s effect. So it’s most effective while it’s still wet on your face…making me feel like this mask is working the ENTIRE time! I’m not an expert so I’m not sure how much of a FACT that is, but for me it makes sense and makes me love this mask even more. That same non-drying effect goes for how your skin feels! This is the first acne mask that doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry after.
Tata Harper products are also 100% natural and non toxic!! Their products are seriously amazing. As you rinse the mask off you will notice micro-crystals that exfoliate your skin as you rinse! I will always get my face wet and spend some time massaging the micro-crystals into my skin to really get that extra exfoliant!
With this post each week, I’ll also be asking you guys to share any experiences you’ve had with what I’m sharing which is such a fun way to involve you guys in this + for you to hear what others think too!
@lodelllll – “My favorite thing about it is how it removes toxins and makes your skin feel like you just got a $100 facial! Also that it’s not too drying but cleans pores so well!”
@thechicdelight – “I absolutely love. I think it is pricey, but I love the real ingredients used, I feel like it smoothes out my complexion and sort of helps bring a brightening from within. I also feel like after I use it it helps to even out pores as well. So amazing and for me worth the investment but I think that is the only downfall. Also be careful about the smell because some of their products can trigger headaches for some people.”
*side note on this one! Al hates the smell but I love it ๐
@julessowa – “I liked the smell and liked how my skin felt super soft after! I wanted something a little grittier though since I’d only use it every once in a while.”
*another side note! It isn’t super exfoliating. I have another exfoliant that I will use if that’s my goal that day, however I love how when you are rinsing this mask you do get a mini exfoliating done at the same time!
@rcarpenterrr – “I absolutely love that mask!!! It’s so clarifying and makes your skin feel amazzzzing ๐๐ผ”
You guys gotta comment below if you buy it and also once you buy it, come back to this post and let me know your thoughts!! I can’t even explain how excited I am for this new ‘Thumbs Up Thursdays’ series on my blog and I really hope you guys dive into it with me and are really involved in it! I have high hopes for it if you can’t tell!! Check back every THURSDAY for my new ๐๐ผย item!
All my love!!
Xx,
I just learned about Tata Harper from Maren Morris’ insta stories, and am very intrigued to try, especially after this post! I also have acne prone skin, so I can totally relate to that. Always on the hunt for those holy grail products!
Hi Juliana!
I also heard about them for the first time from someones insta story and I’m so happy I gave this mask a shot! I’m already excited to try some more of their products out! You’ll have to let me know if you try & how you like them!!
Another great option for those with blemish-prone and problem skin, this 100% natural mask from Tata Harper helps soothe redness and alleviate breakouts thanks to the Salicylic Acid in its formula. It also further clarifies skin using AHA Superfruits and Lactic Acid. Use this regularly and you ll find that blemishes are calmed, oil production is controlled, and pores appear more refined.
