Fun fact: my first blog post I ever wrote was on the Fourth of July back in 2014!! It’s crazy that something I just did for fun and never took seriously somehow became such a huge part of my life! With that connection, this holiday, and the 5th of July being my handsome husband’s birthday – this upcoming week is always fun and one of my favorites. I am also a fan of any day of the year that gets a bunch of people to dress up or dress a certain way – so the red, white, and blue vibe excites me.
I took these photos at my in laws house which is actually where I have spent at least some part of my 4th of July every year since 2013! As I’ve grown up I’ve realized there’s no better way to spend this holiday than lake-side with family and friends!
Today I wanted to share with you two easy looks that can either inspire you to pull from your own wardrobe for the fourth, or that you can two day ship and get in time 😉
Outfit One:
Top was in the Brandy Melville section at Nordstrom, they sadly don’t sell online 👎🏻 But tons of Nordstroms have that section up in BP so if you have time, go check! They have tons of red, white, and blue! Here is a cute similar one and I also love this one! | Denim Shorts | Sandals
The first look is a fun and casual outfit that is so easy to pull together last minute. I grabbed this USA tee earlier this week and paired it with some denim shorts and white sandals that I already had! Using a red hair scarf would be a really fun way to spice this look up and give it a more holiday vibe! (That scarf comment goes for any Fourth of July look really 😊).
This second look is a tad more on the dressy side yet this dress is so comfy! It would be perfect to wear if you are attending a BBQ or party that day! I love that it is subtly red, white, and blue, but not over the top! Sometimes that’s my favorite way to dress for an occasion that calls for a certain color palette. I also want to take a moment to address my backpack that I got from FOREVER 21 and is a dupe of this backpack!! Chloes are one of my top favorite designer bags and I was so excited when I found this $24 backpack that looks like the style of the Chloe one so I just had to address it on here incase any of you are looking for a similar style – can’t beat the price of this one 😉
We have an insanely busy week next week following the 4th with Al’s birthday, then two of our best friend’s rehearsal dinner and wedding that will go on Friday and Saturday! It will be crazy but such an amazing week I am so looking forward to it! Since Al’s birthday is in the middle of all this, I am thinking of maybe taking him on a little getaway the following week so we can relax and have some fun quality time the two of us! As of right now, I’m looking at spur of the moment booking Santa Monica! Neither of us have been to that specific area and it’s a quick flight so I’m going to look into it and maybe go the following week! If any of you have been, please give me some recommendations of things to do as we won’t have much time to research and fill an itinerary beforehand!! You guys are always the best with ideas of things to do, places to eat, etc. so I wanna hear from you! ❤
Happy Friday babes! Hope you all have a lovely weekend!
Xx,
