Levis, the OG of the mom jean and a brand that has been steadily keeping up with denim trends, yet keeping them classic. Denim for me is not a frequent purchase – I will typically buy only a few pairs to last me year round, (a lot of the time even longer!), but I don’t buy them monthly or bi-monthly the way I will buy new tops or dresses. So when I’m buying a pair of denim there are a few things I look for:
Fit – Do they lay in the right places, (ie. waist, hips, thighs), right? Do they cut off at a part of my ankle or calf that is flattering for my long legs and how loose are they near the bottom?
Wash – What color are they? Do they stand out? Are they different than the other denim already in my wardrobe?
Characteristics – Are they distressed? What does the hem look like? Will the holes hit me in the right places?
Price – Is it in my budget? What is my expectation of this denim when buying it at this price?
What I love about Levis as a brand is that they I am satisfied in all categories when buying a pair. They are a timeless brand that never goes out of style! The fit / style of my several pairs of Levis are some of my absolute favorites that I own and are constant go-tos when putting together an outfit.
A few months back I talked about some home decor I purchased on eBay to ‘spring up’ our living room- soon after I discovered the fashion shopping opportunities located on eBay, including Levis! 81% of stuff sold on eBay is new and 88% have the ‘buy it now’ option so put the bidding mentality behind you! What I personally do navigate the site better and find exactly what I’m looking for is entering the exact style and my size! Some of my favorite styles of Levis are the 721 and the 501 (wearing in this post!). Their logo graphic tee is also a cute basic to add to your wardrobe, I grabbed mine off eBay’s site for under $20!
