This post excites me SO much for multiple reasons. Reason number one being that it is Blair’s first ever appearance on the blog! YAY! Reason number two being that this project brought me so much joy and satisfaction – every time I walk into her room now I smile because it really did make the biggest difference EVER!! This project started by completely removing our existing closet ‘system’ which was just a single hanging rack / shelf. Rachel, who is the Seattle NEAT Method organizer, then came and measured Blair’s closet and designed our new Elfa system through The Container Store! This system is completely adjustable and customizable. It truly was the perfect solution to maximize this space. I can’t even describe how much more storage it gives you!! After my closet system was installed, Rachel with NEAT Method did the rest. While she was here measuring she asked about my style, vision, needs, etc. and to be totally honest – I really just let her take the reigns on the whole thing and I’m so happy I did! She orders everything she needs including baskets, bins, labels, and drawer organizers. The organizers know how to maximize your space, what will be the easiest to maintain longterm, and how to lay everything out so it’s pretty and functional. I really didn’t have to think twice it was amazing. Rachel showed up on organizing day with a ton of container store bags in hand and took every little thing out of each drawer and the closet so she could put them all into piles and see what she’s working with. I loved that she put bins in Blair’s closet that were ‘next sizes up’ so as I buy new items that will fit her later, they have set spots and don’t take up space from her current sizing in her drawers. She also got me storage bins to put the clothes in as she grows out of them. If you look inside the drawers, she put acrylic drawer organizers in which is such a game changer for baby clothes! They are so tiny if you just fold them in those huge drawers they fall all over the place and it’s hard to find what you are looking for. I love how simple this made searching for things I need! All the labels help too 😍 For those who haven’t heard of NEAT Method, they actually have organizers all over the country! So if you aren’t local and are reading this, there is a big chance they have organizers out by you! They do pantries, closets, kitchens, offices, etc. You have the space and they will organize it. After doing Blair’s closet we are totally hooked and think it is beyond worth it. We are actually talking about having Rachel come back out to do our pantry!
